Press conference Dr Pamela Rendi-Wagner explains that this lockdown is an admission of guilt…

In a press conference in the run-up to the hard lockdown, SPÖ chairman, Dr Pamela Rendi-Wagner explains that this lockdown is an admission of guilt for the failure of the turquoise-green government and the total loss of control over the infection process. This government put our country in this situation. And that’s not fateful. Numerous experts – including myself – have repeatedly warned. This dramatic development could have been avoided, for example through professional preparation in the summer and through timely and accurate measures ”, criticized SPÖ federal party chairman Dr Pamela Rendi-Wagner. “Now everyone in Austria is being presented with the bill for this failure of the government, including everyone who has been following all the rules for months.” School closings have no evidence and are a wrong measure with massive side effects.
Dr Pamela Rendi-Wagner criticizes the fact that there is still a lack of data and that the federal government has not learned anything from the eight months of the epidemic: “The government did not have a central plan for expanding contact tracing and intensive care units, for example through targeted retraining measures. The federal government has shifted this task to the hospitals, the hospital authorities, the federal states. Here, however, a responsible, central coordination is required in order to prepare specifically, ”stresses Dr Pamela Rendi Wagner. Instead, the Chancellor gave false signals: “At a point in time when we were about to start a second wave, the Chancellor spoke of light at the end of the tunnel,” stresses Dr Pamela Rendi-Wagner. “You shouldn’t be surprised if there is now increasing corona fatigue, corona skepticism,” says Dr Pamela Rendi-Wagner.
