Innerhalb von 24 Stunden wurden am Sonntag innerhalb von 24 Stunden 1.651 Neuinfektionen mit dem Coronavirus in Österreich gemeldet. 36 Menschen starben im Zusammenhang mit Covid-19, so dass die Zahl der Korona-Todesfälle nach Angaben des Ministeriums für Inneres und Gesundheit täglich auf 6.723 stieg. Bisher gab es in Österreich 75,5 Todesfälle im Zusammenhang mit SARS-CoV-2 pro 100.000 Einwohner. Die meisten Covid-Todesfälle pro 100.000 Einwohner sind in der Steiermark mit einem Wert von 115 zu verzeichnen. Wien hält 62,6 in dieser Aufschlüsselung pro 100.000 Einwohner, darunter nur Niederösterreich (56,2) und Vorarlberg (57,4). Die 7-tägige Inzidenz von Korona-Todesfällen in ganz Österreich beträgt 4,5, was bedeutet, dass 4,5 Menschen pro 100.000 Einwohner in der vergangenen Woche an den Folgen einer Infektion starben. In der Steiermark beträgt dieser Wert 8,3. 2.246 Infizierte befanden sich am Sonntag in Krankenhausbehandlung, 80 oder 3,4 Prozent weniger als am Samstag. Davon wurden 372 Patienten auf Intensivstationen behandelt, drei mehr als am Tag zuvor. Die Anzahl der derzeit bestätigten Koronafälle ging innerhalb von 24 Stunden von 21.002 auf 20.250 zurück. Die siebentägige Inzidenz von Neuinfektionen stieg von 165,9 am Samstag auf 168. Dies bedeutet die Anzahl der Neuinfektionen pro 100.000 Einwohner innerhalb einer Woche. Seit Beginn der Pandemie wurden in Österreich bisher 380.722 Fälle registriert. Weitere 2.367 Menschen haben sich erholt, jetzt insgesamt 353.749. Die meisten Neuinfektionen gab es in Niederösterreich mit 369, gefolgt von Wien mit 332 und Oberösterreich mit 201. Das Burgenland meldete 52, Kärnten 119, Salzburg 180, Steiermark 190, Tirol 115 und Vorarlberg 93.

1,651 new infections with the corona virus in Austria were reported within 24 hours on Sunday. 36 people died in connection with Covid-19, so the number of corona deaths rose to a total of 6,723, according to figures published daily by the Ministry of Interior and Health. So far, there have been 75.5 deaths in connection with SARS-CoV-2 per 100,000 inhabitants in Austria. The most Covid deaths per 100,000 inhabitants are recorded in Styria with a value of 115. Vienna holds 62.6 in this breakdown per 100,000 inhabitants, only Lower Austria (56.2) and Vorarlberg (57.4) are among them. The seven-day incidence of corona deaths across Austria is 4.5, which means that 4.5 people per 100,000 inhabitants died as a result of an infection in the past week. In Styria this value is 8.3. 2,246 infected people were in hospital treatment on Sunday, 80 or 3.4 percent less than on Saturday. Of these, 372 patients were treated in intensive care units, three more than the day before. The number of current confirmed corona cases fell from 21,002 to 20,250 within 24 hours. The seven-day incidence of new infections increased to 168 from 165.9 on Saturday. This means the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week.
