Bericht: Muhammad Amir Siddique

A fire broke out on Thursday morning in the kitchen of a children’s group:

Report: Muhammad Amir Siddique Austria.

A fire broke out on Thursday morning in the kitchen of a children’s group in St. Stefan im Lavanttal. The supervisor was able to contain the fire with a blanket and take the children outside. Nobody got hurt. Four fire brigades were in action. Healthy food, straight from the in-house kindergarten kitchen, was on the menu in St. Stefan in Lavanttal this week. The teacher put a pan with oil on the stove late in the morning, but then had to go back to the group for a moment. At that moment the oil caught fire. The extractor above was also a victim of the flames. The supervisor managed to largely contain the fire herself. Thick, acrid smoke spread unstoppably throughout the entire Villa Kunterbunt. Five small children and two carers were able to flee into the garden in time. The fire brigade could then quickly put out a fire and ventilate the smoky rooms. The Red Cross was also on duty for safety’s sake, but was not needed. According to the police, both the five children and the two teachers were unharmed. Four fire departments were in action.
