Nach Angaben des professionellen Rettungsdienstes und der Feuerwehr fielen ein 75-jähriger und ein 62-jähriger aus dem Erdgeschoss in den Keller eines Hauses in der Rauscherstraße. Derzeit wird im Erdgeschoss eine komplette Renovierung durchgeführt. Die Opfer erlitten Beinbrüche und befanden sich im Schockraum eines Krankenhauses. Zwei Menschen wurden am Freitag bei einem Deckeneinsturz in einem alten Gebäude in Brigittenau verletzt. Mehrere Feuerwehrautos und der Rettungshubschrauber Christophorus 9 waren im Einsatz. Die Unfallopfer wurden von der Feuerwehr gerettet, die die Unfallstelle sicherte und prüfte, ob ein weiteres Kollapsrisiko bestand. Nach einer Weile wurde diesbezüglich Entwarnung gegeben. Die Baupolizei übernahm die weitere Bewertung und Untersuchung. Während der Arbeiten wurde das Erdgeschoss wahrscheinlich vollständig ausgehöhlt und anscheinend auch eine tragende Wand entfernt. Gegen 14 Uhr Die Decke gab nach und die beiden fielen. Die professionelle Feuerwehr war mit Teilen des Katastrophenzuges vor Ort, und auch der Rettungshubschrauber Christophorus 9 war im Einsatz.
